[SOLVED] R5 2600 vs R7 1700x for gaming

Which processor is currently better, r5 2600 or r7 1700x. I will mostly do gaming and probably little computer work. I hope to use the cpu for the next couple of years.

The 1700x looks to be a marginally better choice (ignoring power consumption), though Redditor's think the 2600 is a better choice..
