Hi!
I'll finally build my pc this year, Im coming from a crappy i3 2nd gen laptop and im concerned about one thing.
I wanted ryzen in my build for various reasons, the first is budget of course but I was told that ryzen beats intel on multi threaded applications such as video editing programs and stuff.

the thing im concerned about is : as a """gamer""" I wanted to go 144hz on competitive games and maybe stream them on a veryfast preset on obs (x264) , could I get that kind of performance on 1080p even on low details? not concerned about AAA games as I can enjoy them even at 30fps.
obviously gaming isn't my main purpose as I am learning video editing and programming.
I know about the ram speeds, do you think 16gb 3200 is enough?

also in my country an i5 is like 100$ more then a 2600x and thats very sad...

thank you :D

On CSGO the 2600X and 1070ti will blast past the 144Hz and on Overwatch it will do it at medium settings. On Fortnite it will go past 144hz on the Medium settings...So you are more that okay with the 2600x.

Pretty similar on the 8400 with the Overwatch being at Ultra settings instead of Medium for the Ryzen, though it is super close all round.
As an Intel user, I would still get the Ryzen as your use case of video editing and productivity will make better use of the Ryzen CPU but if it is Adobe software then Intel currently makes more sense and I would look at the 8400..

As to 144Hz gaming, that depends on GPU and of course the Intel side will be better placed to achieve that...

On Ram Speed 3200MHz is great...
