Hello , i’m looking for budget , price-performance ratio cpu for gaming .. for price no more than 100 , as i see there are few options like , r5 5500, r5 3600,(12100f only downside 4 cores).. ( i have on another pc 10105f which is great but i want cpu with 6 cores) , maybe there are other options ? And i heard for future path am4 sockets is no good , is that right ? Ty

AMD AM4 is dead, ending with Ryzen 5000-series CPUs, supporting DDR4 RAM.

Starting with Ryzen 7000-series (latest Ryzen 8000-series), CPUs use AM5 socket and DDR5 RAM.

6 or more core CPUs, costing peanuts (under 100 bucks), are these;
pcpp: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/cpu/#sort=price&C=6,64&page=1&X=0,10321

So, R5 5500 is essentially only choice, if you want the latest 6 core CPU which costs peanuts.

Thanks for link , as i see here 5500 is really only good choice , but what about 3600 which one is better ?

I think it's important that you consider the software you will be running. More cores doesn't always mean better performance. Sometimes faster cores are what you want. Also consider what GPU you will be using, if gaming. In many cases, your game performance will be limited by your GPU, especially if you are on a budget.

I decided to buy 12100f 4 cores but budget beast, overclocked 12100f almost same as 5600, and price is 25% cheaper in my country
