[SOLVED] r7 240 bios flash to r7 250?

is it possible to flash a r7 250 bios to r7 240. i have asus r7 240 2gb gddr5

Why would you flash it to a 250? You can just overclock it. If you ever flash the right bios your card might become unstable.

yeah i overclocked it to 1ghz on core and 1300mhz on the memory but i want to get more performance since the r7 250 has higher clocks

So Overdrive doesn't let you overclock past 1Ghz?

no... this was a low end card in 2013. you think it will go over 1ghz on stock bios?

1000Mhz is the max, you can't try 1100?
Also watch out for high temps.

You can try flashing it but it might brick the card or make it unstable that's why I recommend overclocking. You are at 1Ghz which is what the 250 runs at, flashing the 250 bios won't change anything.

Ok so after checking oc limit in the bios, the 240 has 1ghz core 1.3ghz ram limit, the 250 bios has 1.1ghz core and 1.2ghz ram. I say stay with what you have because the 250 bios max memory is 1200 and you have 1300.

the memory frequency doesn't change that much. 500mhz changes about 1 fps

Hey guys i own a sapphire r7 240 i heard that it is an locked r7 250 so i thought about flash bios to upgrade my GPU to r7 250.So i did that and it really unlocked but it seems I get usage spikes in some game(not in furmark)and also my vcore voltage changes between 1.5v and 1.2v is there any way...

You can't flash a 260 bios as your card is physically different. The 260 has 768 cores while your 240 has 320.

You hould try to modify your bios to let you overclock more, not replacing with another card bios.
