So, i bought a second hand r7 250 today. I installed the drivers and test some benchmarks (valley) and it works okay. But when I tried it in dota 2. The lowest settings i got 60-90 FPS it should be 100+. Dota 2 is not a Graphics demanding game. At medium 40-60 FPs and at Ultra i get around 20-40 FPS and it gets lower when Im at team clash. It should be 40-60 Ultra. Help please.

AMD a4 6300
4 GB RAM HyperX 1600 MHz
Gigabyte F2A68Hm DS2
R7 250 1GB DDR5

Solution
You don't have the hardware. You lack the CPU, GPU, and RAM.

See that the person has a quad core, supposedly i5, CPU and it is using over 4gb of RAM. Even so, they are only getting 50-60fps on an unknown setting and resolution.

You will need better CPU and RAM to achieve 60fps.
Where are you getting these FPS expectations, they seem really high for a 250. I honestly expected the card to get around 10-15 FPS (at most) on Ultra.

Your CPU is also a potential bottleneck due to its low core count and the fact that it doesn't have the best instruction sets to fully take advantage of the Rx 2xx series of graphics cards

Do u use the crimson software? It got me about 10-15 more fps on GTA V..

Make sure you don't have any antialising turned on and as the other guy said ur cpu may bottleneck it, it happens to me with GTA V

Also if you get 60 fps at its minimum why would you want more ?

Yes I use crimson.

As others have said, you have a very low-end CPU that can cause FPS to tank in games, but the only way to know for sure is to check CPU and GPU utilization while gaming. If your GPU is below 100%, that means it's having to wait on the CPU to deliver frames.

who told you that a 250 could handle a game on ultra 60fps... It can't you are getting completely reasaonable performance for your specs.

Finally, someone who knows a little about low end GPUs.

Please run 3dmark basic edition (firestrike) and post the link which comes up at the end.
If something's wrong, there we can see it.

Anyways, 100+ on the r7 250 gddr5 card is not possible. Where did you read about this fantastic performance? Did you look at percantage or fps on some benchmark sites?
