R7 260x installation

Hey everyone,

I just got an R7 260x and I get no response after installing it. Not even a bios setup. My PSU is a corsair cx430. I have changed the bios for the PCI-E option and the 6 pin power cable is connected. My mobo is the A88XI and the bios is updated. The r7 260x is compatible with this bios and mobo. Still, no image what so ever. I know the cx 430 is not the ideal psu but I have read in multiple places that it could handle this GPU. Please help.

Check if your monitor's display cable is plugged into the graphic card's slot.

Yea i would say same thing check that your monitor is pluged in to the r7-260x and not in to the motherboard check that the cables are connected and the that the card is locked into the pci slot.

Thank you guys for your reply. It is connected in to the GPU and I confirmed that the gpu is locked into place. One peculiar thing that happens is that the cards cooler starts up, then stops and starts up again. Is this normal?

Does it keep doing that or only when you start your computer?

Have you tried starting the computer without the card?

Only when it starts, then it is normal. Yes, without the card the computer runs fine with the vga on the mobo.

Some cards spin backwards to remove some dust.

[SOLVED] Seems like taking the battery out of the mobo and reseting it did the trick, no idea why thou.
