I've never really built a system this high end before, and I'm not really sure where to go from here. Wattage is no issue, I'm just not sure what graphics card to pick. Am I going too powerful with a 1080 ti? Am I selling my processor short by not getting a Titan? I'm on a GTX 1060 right now, and my 2700x is doing little more than lounging around lazily while waiting for my GPU to catch up. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

it's a sucker's deal. you'll get nothing from a titan that you won't get from a 1080ti or a 2080 in 99% of use cases. if you were going to a titan, you'd might as well get a 9900k if you feel like throwing money away

I could be wrong, but don't some newer titles eat a lot of VRAM at 4k? I heard BO4 was using 15gb maxed out at 4k. Basically the only reason I was considering Titan Xp is that extra VRAM and the relatively low used price on EBay atm.

In a lot of cases the 1080ti actually outperforms the Titan by a bit. It's just rather expensive compared to the ti.

If you plan to go 4k I would definitely go 1080ti over 2080 if not probably 2080 over 1080ti. (More vram will eventually matter at 4k)
