R9 270 vs 270x vs gtx 580

Hi, I'm building a new pc and I'm on a budget. I know 270 has replaced the 7870 and I am considering getting one but I don't know if 270X worth the difference. Also how would you compare 580 with 270?

I'm planning to get FX 6300 or x4 955 Black Edition as CPU.

I'd recommend the 6300 over the 955, OR, try to find an 8320, I got mine for $135 off of Amazon last summer.

Also the 270X is Powercolor. I don't know much about brands. Would it make a big difference?

Not much. You can buy that one. If in doubt, get Sapphire, Asus card then

I have a pair of overclocked undervolted powercolor 7870s that I got pretty cheap (at the time), and I love them, they run quiet and cool. Not sure how the longevity is gonna be, had my first powercolor card for just over a year now with no hitches. Got the second one last month. I usually show the love on XFX for that lifetime warranty. But I gotta say, I like the powercolor, pleanty of sensor information through GPUZ, Easily customizable. Mine came witha 2 year warranty, so we'll see how they fare in the future, but for the time being, recommended.

I'm not sure how the price is where you are from, but here in Denmark the price difference between 270 and 270X doesn't make 270X a viable option. 20% more money for a quite subtle performance boost.

270 compares well against a 660. A 660 and a 580 are just about the same performance. Though, the 270 and 660 are newer chips and their energy level is quite a bit lower than the hungry 580's.

I'm in Turkey. The difference is around 25-30 USD.

Do the math, I bet you will see that the % you pay extra doesn't even come close to the % increase you get performance wise. Remember that a 270X is just a 270 with a bit higher clock rates. Nothing fancy.
