r9 270 vs gtx 660?

Ok, either of the R9 270 and GTX 660 are good. Maybe the R9 270 is just a bit better but It's a small difference.

960 is better but if you dont have enough money then 950 and overclock it insanly to reach 960's performance

The gtx 950 is a terrible value, unless that is your max budget dont buy it, spend 10-20 dollars more and get a 960. But between those two the 270 is a little better especially since you can oc it to 270x performance for free.

You really have to be a stickler to your budget to get a 950, it's a nice card thats just a bit to pricy. The 960 also comes with MGS: PP which is a $50 game and could be sold on G2A or something like that.

I wouldn't say pricey at all. I don't get why this constantly pops-up regarding Nvidia GPU's.

It's the best budget GPU I've seen in years. 150-160 dollars for 1080@60fps in high/ultra settings in loads of games. Only 6-8 fps behind the 960. What more can you possibly ask I wonder?

price will come at play here, the heavily overclocked 950's are near the cheapest 960s in price.

GTX 950 2GD5T OC and Windforce 2X models are in 150-160 dollars price range and they run at good clocks. This is a good price for the GPU, don't have to look at the most expensive ones.

I just want to say that I really like the 950, it's a nice card but it's price difference compared to the 960 is just to small and the fact that the 960 came with MGS: PP just means that it really is hard to justify.

If you look at these two cards they have a $30 difference but if you put MGS: PP in then it's actually cheaper then the 950. If you don't want the game then you coud just sell it for 25-30 and then you still atleast make up the difference. If the 950 just comes down to 120-130 or lower it will be a fantastic card that I would love to recommend.

Thing is, it is temporary. Once the deal is over the GTX 950 price is fully justified. Ofcourse 130 dollars would be better but the quality of the GPU is too good for that I think. Can't even get an R9 270 for that price.
