R9 270x (Burning rubber smell)

My brother was currently playing CS GO when suddenly it just turned off for no reason. Now my PC won't open. So I tried to remove the gpu and the PC opens but everytime I put the GPU it doesn't turn on. I tried the GPU on my other computer and I smelled like a burning rubber so I quickly shut down my other Computer. Help me guys is ny XFX r9 270x faulty?

if it smells burning rubber and doesnt work, chances are its smoked...
rma it if under warranty...

But is there a culprit for why it happened? I mean the GPU is in stock clocks and never been overclocked. oh and btw my psu is a thermaltake tr2 500w. is it ok for that gpu?

psu looks gud...how old is it???
and how old is ur gpu???

culprit cud be anything...ranging from defective parts to faulty copper heat sinks...power surge as well...

GPU is less than 5 months. Bought Brand new. 🙁 My Main PC has the same XFX R9 270x but I bought it used. It was used for 2 years and is still rocking till this moment 🙁

shd be under warranty if less thn 5 mnths...
just rma it...
