Hello, recently I bought an AMD R9 270x,

The problem I have with it is that when playing Bioshock Infinite (about 5mins into the game) it keeps on shutting down my cumputer (screen goes black, but fans keep running and only turns off on hard reset). This only persists on this particular game, I don't have any trouble playing BF3 or Crysis 3

System:

AMD APU 5800K (no OC, turbo off)

AMD R9 270X (Gygabyte OC version with 1100Mhz core,5600Mhz memory)

550W OCZ 550W Single rail PSU

8Gb DDR3 1866Mhz Ram

Also in the Event Viewer I'm getting a critical eror from source: Kernel Power , ID: 41

The power supply is totally new (3 months old) ...

I did and they don't write any solution for it. I didn't cut off the power to the PC, only long-pressed the power button to turn it off cause it crashed

it says there was a power interruption. from you/from the wall socket, etc. I don't have time to read the article again. also said something about battery back up..

try lowering settings in the games control panel.......... settings/resolution, etc. and play. see if it crashes...............also, is this one of those cards with a BIOS switch? if it is, don't run it in over clock mode.

you can also try under clocking the video cards processor and ram by 50 or 100MHz to see if that helps at all. sometimes over clocked cards are pushed to near their limits, and to be honest, shouldn't be sold that way.
