r9 270x upgrade

I am unsure of the upgrade path... I am building a pc for a friend and he wants the same gpu in my build (270x) hes given me money and i have everything prepared for him aside from the gpu. I was debating upgrading to a 280x and just give him the 270x that's already in my system or just getting a second 270x and crossfire... which i want for the looks because I have a large case window and its really been on my mind to do so. im sure my psu is sufficient for crossfire 270x's

270X crossfire will give you performance of 290X but you'll still have 2GB vram and crossfire scaling problems in games. Just give him your 270X and get yourself a 280X 3gb, its so cheap this days and still quite faster than 270X.

if it fits your budget get an r9290 they are going for real cheap around 250

Yeah. Custom 290's are going low as 250$, that would even better.
