I am stuck between these two GPU's and I cant make up my mind... My pc budget is $600-$700 http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zW32bv

I have tried to look up the R9 280 (non x) but it seems that no one has this GPU, only a pile of 280x cards. That is the hard part when it comes to comparing these two with a price difference of $50~

Will be playing games such as: BF4, Dayz Standalone, ARMA 3, etc... *Streaming these games as well*

Thanks for any help! 😀

Both are decent gpus for the price. there are a lot of 280Xs for same on amazon and ebay right now for around $180 if you dont mind buying used. some people say dont buy used but i have bought many used gpus and never had a problem. I find generally if a part has a problem it will either not work out the gate or will break watt before the warranty is up. Just make sure you get one with a good cooler. Reference radeons run to hot.

That's a great build btw. will perform almost as good as my 1000 rig

Thanks for the input! and thanks to everyone else who posted! will be getting the 280x!

2048 Stream Processors instead of 1792 Stream Processors. Core Clock speed set 150-220MHz higher. Otherwise its the same. EzSkills sums its up nicely. "The 280x is a 7970 and the 280 is a 7950 with different names"

one more question, are Refurbished video cards bad to look into?
