r9 280x dual-x help!

You can see in the pictures here that this card has x16 pci-e but says it only requires one 6pin and one 8pin connection to work in the description of requirements.

Can I plug the 6pin into one of the 8pin slots safely?

to looking like this when fully plugged in as required?

Yes - the 8pin connectors are catually 6 + 2 pin - two connectors. Just use the 6 pin one.

So it's safe to leave 1 row open? I wont be using the adapters, this would be directly from my PSU

What a relief man, thank you so much. I couldn't find anything about that after hours of googling the subject.

This was the PSU I had ordered and was going to be pretty upset if I needed to have 2x 8pins for this GPU to work, cus this PSU only had 1 8pin and 1 6pin.

Does it matter where I put the 8pin and where I put the 6pin on the x16?

Seasonic is good.

The 6 and 8 pin go on the graphics card. The graphics card goes in the first pcie x16 slot on the motherboard - per your mobo manual.

Im sorry i am new to computers and guess i got the terminology wrong. Must be confusing...

I mean my GPU has 16 holes [ : : : : ] [ : : : : ] that looks like that... does it matter where I put the 8pin and 6pin connectors on the gpu?
