Its a good budget psu (reviewed by jonnyguru) and the wattage and ampere is more than enough for a 280x. The only thing thats off is the age of the psu. It was released 2006 and most of the good psu's have average of 3 to 5 yrs warranty. How long have you been using the psu?

"The Antec Trio is a great budget PSU. It does have solid rails, is quite efficient, quiet, has active PFC and SLI/Crossfire capable. The only thing I can't report on is longevity."

Instead of lecturing me, why not write a complain letter to sapphire, asus, xfx ... To bring down minimum psu requirement to 450w instead of 550w because base on your computation it wont go pass 320w on daily gaming usage. Dont you think thats deception on their part asking us to buy a 550w psu while you said it wont reach 330w?

pot, meet kettle.

don't YOU think it's deceiving for GPU manufacturers to give overblown PSU requirements for their cards, since they have no idea how much power the rest of any user's system takes? i3 versus FX-9xxx. really, same PSU recommended for both systems???
