So I've got a r9 280x Toxic in my gaming rig, in a AeroCool Deadsilence mATX case with x2 fans at the top pulling out hot aire, as well as 1 rear and 1 large front fan.

However, I was playing Crysis 2 last night and the GPU was hitting 94c....this is worrying.

What can I do now, I've got fans in all positions? Is this a dangerous temp for this card?

Cheers.

Dust in the cards heatsink blocking airflow?
If you've been running the card for a while it will suck in dust etc and over time the build up will block airflow making it hot. (especially if the case doesn't have dust filters on the intakes or has negative air pressure)

You could use pressurized air to just blow it out, take it outside or smthg first thou 😀
I had an issue in the summer with system getting hot and so installed better fans in the case, at the top there are x2 14cm EN51622 Dead Silence fans at full speed blowing up/out, x1 20cm Aerocool Lightning 58CFM fan at the front pulling air in, and the stock 12cm fan at the back blowing out.

I thought it seemed ok and put it down to hot weather, but then haven't really played anything as demanding like crysis 2 for quite a while. I just happened to run temp tool and it was so hot, almost worse than my old case which was tiny and had no airflow virtually. What can I do?
