R9 280x VS GTX 960?

I want to know which card is the best for gaming at 1080p. Also, which would perform better if overclocked?

The 280x is the better card if your PSU is up to spec.

Thats an excellent psu, but maybe too much for your system, do you plan to do crossfire in a future?

PSU is good.

Defiantly go with R9 280X, it competes with the gtx 770 which is much faster than the 960.

If less power usage is more important to you then GTX 960.
R9 280x should perform little better though.

Umm, I am not really planning to do crossfire. Probably in the far future I'll just upgrade to a faster graphics card. Also, I know that the psu might be a little overkill, but I could not find a cheaper power supply that is at least 500W and 80+ gold.

That is a great power supply and gives you plenty of options for future builds/upgrades. I would definitely get it.
