I was playing Europa Universalis IV and it was on the loading screen, it froze, I tried to move my mouse and nothing happened so I pressed the power button.
After pressing it, the screen (using a TV screen by the way) alternated between showing blue, showing gray-green lines of artfiacts and showing the loading screen of the game.
In addition to this, I've noticed previously that if I have anything connected to my mobo's USB ports, the computer crashes while watching videos or just generally using the computer.
Forgot to mention that afterwards I tested GTA V and it was working well, normally, no problem.

Solution
Hi,
...//..except when I connect something to the USB ports in the back) and this time where it froze while playing Europa Universalis IV...//..
Ok. Is it the same usb-port or does it behave the same regardless of which usb-port?
What device are you plugging in exactly?
Does it have a separate USB cabel, if so, replaced the USB-cable to check.

Best Regards from Sweden

Ps. Damaged USB-port will certainly cause problem so make sure that you try different ports.
And to check tha the USB-connector itself in not damaged.

The two end connector pins are for 5V and as for USB 2.0 they can handle max 0.5A
And if one of these get shorted, well that can be a serious problem, also for your motherboard.
Hi,

Possible.
But to make sure:
1 .You have the TV connected via HDMI. right?
Try to put another cable in - if possible.

2. The length is sometimes critical for HDMI and make sure that both end-connectors are attached properly.
3. Try another port - if possible.
4. Can you unplug from the TV, and connect another monitor, or perhaps borrow a monitor from your friend?
Just to check it out and make sure to use either a DVI-port or a DPI-port.

If it still gives you the crazy things it is probably the graphics card, however, it could also be that Your Power Supply unit starting to break down. That will indeed cause trouble for the graphics card.

5. Take out the graphics card from the computer, and ask your friend again: borrow his/her old graphics card and put it in.
How does it work now on a regular monitor.

6. Perhaps go to your friend again and ask for that you want to put Your graphics card in his computer and see what's happens?

Just some steps to try to isolate the problem area and find the root-cause of the problem.
Best regards from Sweden

Hey! thank you for the reply.
I haven't yet tried another cable, I've tried connecting it to my rooms television and it worked OK (it works well usually the PC in general, except when I connect something to the USB ports in the back) and this time where it froze while playing Europa Universalis IV.
About it being the GPU, I'm not sure if it is my GPU, I've just ran 3D-Mark, played some GTA V and it worked without issue.

Solution

It only does this if I plug it on the motherboard USB ports on the back.
I plugged in the wireless keyboard.
Thank you
