r9 290 problem

hi to all computer experts out their. my sapphire r9 290 tri-x 4gb ddr5 512bit was undetected by my asrock p67 pro3 motherboard biose version 3.30... when i start my cpu it has no display only black screen. d6 code with 5 short beeps. i try my gt 440 2gb 128bit ddr3 gpu, it works and display... my power supply is seasonic m2ii evo 750w full modular. any solution or fix for my problem? execpt in throwing my r9 to a garbage can.... thanks in advance....

Try a BIOS update, is this a new video card? Did you check with Sapphire support already?

I had this problem before, and it was a cable in the PSU that went bad.

my R9 is working to other pc... just in my ASRock P67 Pro3. it cant detect my R9... i keep getting a d6 error and 5 short beeps... my bios is 3.30 and the bios update in asrock site is same the have a 3.30 latest bios

I had this problem before, and it was a cable in the PSU that went bad.

my psu is modular seasonic m12ii evo 750w... and its weeks old.... i did try to my other cpu but it works no error
i try using other cpu mobo and it work with no error

Check with the motherboard support then or the video card support, if card works in another system it's a good card, and you have a good quality power supply so that should not be an issue. Does not leave much left aside from the card just not liking your motherboard.

sounds like you are right.... my motherboard doesnt want my r9 gpu... i should buy a new one with pcie 3.0... my motherboard is pcie 2.0
