R9 290 problems

My R9 290 Royalking is spiking almost all the time. When playing BF4 my GPU stays at a continious 100% load on max 77 Degrees. While doing anything else like browsing or Gta 5 my GPU spikes. On Gta 5 its extreme and even causes Black screens, Gta 5 has stopped working or err_gfx_d3d_init.

Right now i lowered my Gta 5 settings all to the lowest possible. still i am getting lag and JUST 40FPS! on lowest possible!
my GPU is still spiking between 100 and 0% usage all the time.
I am using 14.12 Driver for my R9 290
Please tell me whice kind of information u want and i will provide u since i need to solve this....
I5 4440,8 GB ddr3 1333MHz, Coolermaster G550M, MSI H81M P33

i did and installed gta 5 beta drivers like when it came out

if u watched the video u could see i am getting the stripes also in euro truck sim



thats what i discovered ye. i got like 6minutes of evidence for a RMA. im rendering it right now
When its done ill post a link to it. please make sure to watch it so you guys could tell me if its my card or not

What i did note is i have in my event log ALOT times that my display driver ERROR ID 4101 stopped and recovered
i also got alot of times a error for DistributedCOM with various ERROR ID : 1010,1005,1001

well one thing I see above is the disk error s maybe your hard drive is failing in some way and causing corruption ?? I/o faults , read write errors , bad blocks/sectors ect.. that could affect things

the dcom is networking issues easy to look up googling it around for a fix.. maybe [ I think mine come from a program I blocked trying to access the internet with out me knowing it .. like a auto updater ??

I agree with you but can a bad drive cause artifacts in the screen like u see on the video? Can a bad HDD cause GPU usage drops like on the images? Make please sure to watch the video since u will see alot more than i can explain

There are 3 disk errors. my drive is a WD blue 10ezex whice is bought in november last year. will a smart check be enough?
About the Dcom i dont know what causes my problems. i do know that when i play Gta 5 online alot times my whole session left whice leaves me behind. some people told it could be Qualcomm ethernet, but my MSI cheap motherboard doesnt have that "MSI H81M P33"

I get errors for this wireless on windows 7 and al I donr for it just don't seem to help dcom is one of them but nothing like the amount you got just 1 or 2

if you got a wd drive use there data lifeguard tool like listed in the link I gave above

thing is about windos 8 it may not do things right look at this and see if windows is ''blocking the cards ''driver'' from being installed cuse it want to keep its own driver in place ??

sems I seen a few times where windows 8 like to override what you want to do ?? you may want to do more research on that ?

I guess its to the point Microsoft knows better then you cause we are all stupid ??

next to uninstall the driver get it back on windows standard vga driver then install the amd driver in custom install and just install the driver test then the next thing down the list and test and so on to see if one of the side programs that comes in the full driver package is to blame ??

I guess next to trying your card in another computer or another card in your computer all you can do is keep guessing

if your card does the same on a different rig then you know its something with the card more than likely ??

the problem is i cant test it anywhere but did u saw the video? just happend stripes are never good on a card right ?

The texture loading i cant confirm. the black screen and stripes for just a sec i can confirm. the first time i remember was in Trackmania Nations forever 3 or 4 months ago. So far happend in these games Euro truck 2, Gta5, Bf4 and Trackmania Nations Forever.

Look the lag in game like Gta 5 im not that concerd about. the issue with random black screen and stripes + manual reboot are way more worse for me. i just checked my Event log and saw various errors

did you try reseating your card? sometimes when hey arent seated all the way you ave similar issues. since I have a custom bench and no case o ne of my cars wasnt seated all the way and was causing all sorts off issues. but drivers can cause this issue as well if you upgrade from an older version without using ddu to remove the old driver first. running this and then installing the new driver doesnt fix it grab msi afterburner and down clock your card. if it no longer has the same issues rma the card.
