Hello,

Recently, I encountered some problems with setting up my two monitors. Both monitors support 1440p functionality. My graphics card (AMD R9 290) has several output options and the Dell monitors have several input methods:

AMD R9 290:
2x DVI-D
1x HDMI 1.4
1x DisplayPort

Dell UltraSharp U2518D:
1x HDMI
1x Displayport
1x MiniDisplayport

Furthermore, the motherboard offers DVI-D, HDMI, VGA (D-Sub).

I can remember that I had both monitors enabled on 1440p, however now it seems unlikely, consideringall channels if in-/output.

At the moment i have Displayport-Displayport and DVI-D-HDMI setted up.

Anyone knows a cable solution to enable both monitors to run at 1440p?

Thanks in advance!

I would go with displayport whenever possible and HDMI as #2 choice. Your mobo ports likely aren't going to be of much use. And VGA....what's that?

The R9 series should (in my experience) be stable. Don't put an RX 570, 580, or 590 into this build and expect it to work. my 2c
