r9 290x crossfire fps problem

Hello guys,

i have some fps issues with crossfire. I got the Catalyst Omega 14.12 installed. Here is my computer
rig.

CPU: AMD FX 9590 4.93 GHz
MOTHERBOARD: Asrock 990FX Fatal1ty Killer
RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX
GPU: r9 290x dual crossfire
730w plus 80 PSU

The problem is when i play assassins creed unity and
battlefield 4 with one gpu i got more fps then with 2 graphics cards. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!!!!

please help me

You are trying to run a 9590 and 2 290xs on a 730w PSU? I'm surprised the psu hasn't exploded. I bet the cards are throttling to due to inadequate power. You should be running at least a tier 1 1000w unit for a rig like that.

i bought a corsair 1000w gold psu and i still got the fps problem.
I have no idea how people on youtube have so good performance with crossfire. I really don't know what to do.

If you have any advice it would help me a lot
