Hi guys I was looking into purchasing either a r9 290x or a r9 380x and was wondering which card performed better. I don't want to buy the 390x because i really don't want to spend 400+ dollars on a GPU. Also if I do go along the route of purchasing a 380x, will it be able to run on a corsair tx650 v2? Thanks guys.

Solution
He asked about the 380x vs the 290x. The 380x is equal to a 280x/HD7970GHz. The R9 290x is a much better performer.

The Corsair PSU you have is fine for one GPU up to the 290x, I had a TX850W and it ran great for 5+ years.
Ahh shit forgot about the 8GB VRAM

He actually asked about 290X vs 380X , which Is why I pointed out that the 290X is the same as a 390X (with 4GB VRAM slightly lower clock, but essentially the same)

sorry accidentally voted you down, i read wrong, i thought you wrote "390x is equal to 280x", and i was like WTF, no way, then i realised it said 380x
😳
