R9 390-i5 6500

Will an corsair vs series 650W be enough for an r9 390 and a i5 6500?
(The Asus version of the r9 390)

I wouldn't trust it I know I have a R 290 AND it would not run well with a 650 watt PSU I had so think more of the lines of 750 watts or more and a better brand then what you choosen. SEASONIC EVGA ECT.

It will be enough, but if you can afford to get a seasonic or EVGA GQ/G2 unit that'd be much better. (If you already have the VS650 then go for it.)

650w is plenty of power for a single 290. It's less likely that the wattage would hold you back, but rather the amps on the 12v rail.
