r9 390 or 970

hello,
im on a tight budget and am deciding between r9 390 or gtx 970 (keep in mind that in my country 10xx is overpriced af)
so my componets are :
600w cooler master psu
i5 4460
16gb ram

are you getting the 390x or just the 390? but i think the 390 beats the 970. I might be wrong but you can personally look up reviews of the 2 and get which one you fancy. but the 390 has 8GB of Vram which does help. but some say the 970 overclocks better. so yea there are things to consider. also the 390 does consume more power.

Wait for the Polaris cards to release before making a choice. The Rx 480 may outperform the 390, and even if it doesn't the prices will still drop further.

was thinking of 390 will 600w be enough its got 47amps on 12v rail

it does require a PSU with 50A capacity on the +12v rail. also the recommended PSU capacity is listed here. the 390 has a TDP of 300W so yea 😵

so yea. you might want to get a better PSU if you are going for the 390. if you cant get a good quality 650W PSU. you might want to go for the 970 or wait for the RX 480.

If you think you might want to play any PhysX games or use any of the features unique to Nvidia cards then get the GTX 970. The performance is about the same and will vary by game. The GTX 970 will be significantly more power efficient as well.
