I have a Foxconn h61mxv v2.0 lga1155 motherboard confirmed working with 8gb of ram and a i3 processor. All of this is confirmed to work with another graphics card (gtx 650). Whenever I hook up the r9 390 however, everything physically working ( fan, lights), but there is no display. I've tried a bunch of different combination of working (confirmed parts however still no dice). I figure it has to be something else i'm missing. Could use some help.

Solution
The model number is V308-041R . I haven't seen a switch on it yet.

Doesn't appear to have a switch that i can see either, nothing of it is mentioned in the manual albeit only a quick start manual. If there was one, it'll be a clearly visible switch around the PCB edge somewhere.

It's hard to say if MSI's 390 uses dual vbios. If it supports both, it's possible the motherboard's bios might not be compatible with how the gpu operates it's legacy bios boot tables. If there's a motherboard bios update available, i suggest try update.
Yeah, it seems to be working though, the gpu seems to be the variable here. Wouldn't the PC just shutdown if it wasn't getting enough power because everything seems to be working except the r9 390, is there any other possibilities?

I swapped out the psu, the motherboard, ram, cpu. The graphics card was working on my other computer which now now uses a rtx 2080. It seems I've exhausted all possibilities combinations, unless it's software related. I'm using windows 10 and the stock bios that comes with the motherboard.

I have a build that all parts are confirmed to work, seperately, but I'm getting no display. The graphics card seems it isn't meshing with the rest of the build. My build is as follows.

Foxconn h61mxv rev2.0 mobo
intel i3-2120 cpu
A=tech 2x4gb ram
A-Power Ak-800 watt psu
Hitachi Ultrastar 1tb 7200 rpm hard drive
R9 390 graphics card.

I just want to say that the graphics card is confirmed working on my other working build I have. I tried disabling the integrated graphics card and still no display on the r9 390. I have a gtx 650 that I use to get display and change the settings, at least until I can figure out what is wrong with the r9 390. Ideas anyone, I figure i've tried it all. I hope I missed something.

Ok, I haven't been able to find the bios update for this motherboard yet, i'll keep looking. This mobo is not well-known, regrettably.
