Im just wondering if anyone has r9 390x and play gta 5. Because I just recently got both of those items and it just keeps crashing. All other games working just fine. I feel like it could be a bit of drivers and gta 5 problem

Solution
I'll make it easy for you because I was struggling with this for over a week with my r9 390. For some reason when the card is overclocked the game crashes. I'm not sure what makes it do this but as soon as you turn it off you'll stop getting the error.

I'm assuming you're getting the dx error or whatever it's called. Something about failing to initialize.

I've also noticed any type of overlay software like msi afterburner or something like that also causes the game to crash.

Try the above solutions and let us know.
I have a build I'm making soon which has the R9 390X and yes the R9 390X should perform good on GTA 5 because I have checked it on YouTube. It might be a bottleneck with he CPU (I have no idea), but check out YouTube with "R9 390X GTA 5" people are playing very fine with it. It would be good if you posted your specifications.
