Good day to you,
I have asked for your help today to assist me in buying a Racing Wheel mainly for use in playing games such as American Truck Sim, Euro Truck Sim 2, DiRT, Spin Tires, and Beam.NG Drive, as well as any other games I may be able to use a racing wheel in...

Despite the name of 'racing wheel' I am not interested in "hardcore racing"... Games like F1, Forza, and Gran Torismo have no interest to me. I appreciate good scenery and a calm game to drive around in, with realistic crash physics.

I have, so far, looked at the Thrustmaster line, and the T300, and T500, do interest me. The T500 seems too rough and more of a Drift-Assist wheel, with the amount of power it puts into the force-feedback, but since it is able to be altered in the settings, I could make an exception.

Money is of no issue to me, however, I would also prefer not to be wasteful with it. Suggest sensible things, please.
Thank you very much for your time and contributions.

You could consider the g920 from Logitech. They make pretty good racing wheels and is compatible with most games (according to compatibility list, spin tires and beam.ng will not work). Plus, if you want one, it’s compatible with Logitech’s sperately sold shifter.

No, I'm sorry, but I will never buy another Logitech product as long as I shall live... I have had to send 6 or 7 Wireless headsets back to them, often times with the new replacement being worse than that which I had sent back...

And, the reviews of that product were not the best, citing from several people saying it feels like super cheap plastic garbage...

Apparently it’s got a bad rep in your area. In that case, yea, go for the T300 (think it’s the RS edition that’s available, don’t see any regular T300’s)

Any opinion on the Fanatec gear?

Many things come separately and are a little expensive, especially for a casual experience. Their...I guess basic pack is about $450. Not even a clutch pedal is included if you want to try out manual...

Just found out the T500 isn't commercially available anymore, due to being discontinued... Pretty aggravating...

Case Closed. I decided to just go all-out and spring for "the works".
