Hi guys,

I AM from brazil and here hardware is pretty expensive, I tried my best to build a low end game machine for casual gamming with 600 dollars

MB Gigabyte F2a88x D3h fm2+
Athlon x4 860k overclocked 4.5ghz
8 gigas 1600mhz
Corsair 500w - got to replace for crossfire
Sapphire dual x 7970 stock

I have a good experience and would like to take up a notch and add another 7970 for 2k and 4k in my new tv, I can't afford a GTX 970 that costs 450 dollars here and the 7970 looks a good deal for less than 200 dollars.

Will I have bootleneck ?

FYI - I have a fully working i7 870 left in my desk for 2 years and recently I acquired a good board gigabyte p55ud3p, will this processor be better with cross fire?

Sorry for grammar mistakes and long questions

Thank you all

Solution
Yes the i7 will be much better than the Athlon x4 for your setup.

Crossfire can be good, but you would have to buy a new high quality power supply and the other card. Which would be close to the price of a new GTX 970.
Also not all games support crossfire so you won't see a increase in performance in those titles.
There may also be stuttering with 2 7970's as they are a bit older cards now.
It all depends how optimized the games are for Crossfire.
I would use your i7 870 with the one 7970 you have now and save your money for a new GPU or CPU later on.

the overclocked 860k is barely good enough to be running a single 7970

an i7 870 build would be the better option by a long shot

Thank you guys, I switched the builds and the i7 870 overclocked to 3.9ghz is miles better than the AMD Athlon 860k 4.5ghz, now I am going to sell the 7970 and the athlon with board and put some money and buy the 980 and be happy.
