Radeon 9500 Mod into a Radeon 9700

wow u guys take stuff and twist it...

LOOK it IS a 256bit interface get over it thats no chaning the reason why you do not notice is that the 4 pixel pipelines are disbaled, christ how hard is this concept? The 64bit is only a 128bit interface,

the 128bit 256bit interface can be moded to the speeds of a 9700

the 64bit 128bit can be moded to the 9500pro speeds

while the 9500pro can be overclocked but it is a 128bit interface which makes the card pretty much on the lvl with a ti4600 since it won't achieve a higher fill rate with that half the speed interface of 128bits...

christ its easy and you guys just keep saying one thing, someone else reads it, turns it into something else, and then the whole board is junk because now eveyone is confused...

i'm confused by your post, this is my understanding

Radeon 9500 64mb = 64mb 128bit memory bus & 4 pixel pipelines

Radeon 9500 128mb = 128mb 256bit memory bus & 4 pixel pipelines

Radeon 9500pro 128mb = 128mb 128bit memory bus & 8 pixel pipelines

Radeon 9700 128mb = 128mb 256bit memory bus & 8 pixel pipelines

and the pro version is basically the same with higher core and memory clock speed.

all agreed?

now take the 128mb radeon 9500 which has a 256bit memory bus(this cannot be unlocked, thats how they came) and unlock the 4 hidden pipelines. so you'll get a 128mb Radeon 9500 that has a 256bit memory bus as well as 8 pixel pipelines, correct? which is the same as a stock 9700.

whats your opinion??

yes that is my understanding as well the radeon 9500 128mb is the only one that can be modded to reach the speed of the 9700 as it is the only one with the 256bit bus...what were we arguing about by the way?

i dont' know... i thought you were talking about changing 128bit memory bus to 256bit or somthing about 128mb 9500 only comes with 128bit memory bus..

I'm sorry too, I read a post on another forum that explained it wrong so at the begining I was talking about changing the bus lol after that we were both just confusing each other
