Hi everyone this is pretty urgent so please bear with me. All of the sudden a few hours ago my fan became super loud for seemingly no reason while playing a game. I read around and installed gpu-z and the reading it gives me is very concerning.

Is my card busted? Is there anything i can do to slow down the fan? AMD control centers fan control or msi afterburner doesn't seem to have any effect.

also reading from msi afterburner aswell

I'm not really knowledgeable when it comes to computers so please be patient with me.

Uhm... Your minimum temperature is -2147483648C

Something is definitely messed up. To put it into perspective, the literal absolute 0 temperature, where atoms stop moving, is -273.15 degrees celsius. Your temp is well over negative 2 billion.

Oh and your fan problem is because your GPU is registering at over 1000C.

So, if you don't notice any problems in the game, you are probably alright with using it, your temperature sensors are just freaking out.

Yeah haha it's pretty funny. But I looked around in the bios and i couldnt find any way to control the fan from there either. Is there anyway to fix the temperature sensor?

Hello just wanted to say that i somehow solved the issue by reinstalling my drivers thinking back it was pretty obvious that it was something I should've done earlier. Readings are back normal and then fan is like it used to be. Hope that anyone with the same problem finds this thread.

Hello, i have the same problem here. Glad that TS had fixed the problem. My HD 6970 fan and temp are going crazy, fan speed is 100%, GPU temp -168 C, VRam 1-3 temp around 1000 C. The problem start since when the computer is turning on. My OS is windows 10. I've already clean the heatsink, replace the thermal paste, replace the thermal pad event try the grease form. No joy..
