I've recently just put together a system for a friend, and before i do any updates, i wanted to test out crysis' performance on it. Its an Intel E8400, Sapphire HD4850, 4GB RAM, Vista 32Bit.
Upon installing it said there was a necessary system update which needed to be done, but i ignored it and carried on, wanting to test performance on a plain machine before contaminating it with fista updates.
whilst playing crysis, i had all settings on high, and 4x AA for giggles, but during the drop sequence from the aircraft, i got down to chute height and the game dropped back into windows after freezing.
Does anyone know of a fix for this problem, or is it just that i was too lazy to wait for all of the updates to apply?
Thanks
