Hey guys. I just finished up some threads about what graphics card to buy for my 220 watt slim pc and we all decided that the R7 240 would be the best choice. Just to be clear, the R7 240 only uses one pci-express slots right? Cause thats all my computer can hold. Thanks in advance guys.

Solution
All consumer grade graphics cards only use one PCIe slot. They may be wider and need more slots on the back of the case, but that isnt an issue here.

Does it work on a 220 watt PC, have you tried it yet

What is your PCie expansion slot version (1.0 x 16, 2.0 x 16, 2.1 x 16, 3.0 x 16)? I had to upgrade my 250 watt psu just to run an HD 4350 with 2gb of extra RAM on mobo. I put my R7 240 into a PCie 1.0 x 16 port and it works just fine, if you want to get the most out of any new gpu you need 3.0 x 16 and at least (in my opinion) a cpu that's dual-core above 2.5 GHZ. I'm running it with a AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+ (2.3GHZ dual-core processsor). EXTREMELY BOTTLENECKED with this processor. I have a 600W Eagle brand PSU and it runs BF3 at 44 FPS at medium settings (very unstable FPS because of crummy cpu core clock).
