Factory OC'd or not...that's still AMD's fault as long as the manufacturer set the card to go under temp. AMD released the driver that affected it. LOL

Even if the fan completely stop protection should kick in right? But in some cases the card are fried anyway. Back then user reporting the frame rates were dropping. That's a sign of the card being throttle down because of excessive temperature. I think it is the same case as this crimson fan issue. Still i see people said it is impossible for the card to be fried and even accusing those story were made up to made AMD look bad.

It's a lot riskier with 0% fan speed than 20% fan speed, especially back in the Fermi days. Nobody was doing the "shut the fan off at idle" thing back then.

And you're making things up, people aren't saying it's impossible for the card to be fried, just that it would require some extra factor.

Before you said i'm making things up you should see how those ADF defending AMD until AMD themselves acknowledge the issue.

And there is no need to compare between fan completely stop and fan goes slow. This is no AMD vs Nvidia to see which company does it worse.

Hello,

I have a R9 295X2, after reinstalling windows and using the last AMD driver yesterday i have some issue :

- the fans of the card work very slow (i think it was cool, but...)
- very bad performance in game (forget the 4K resolution, and the 1080p one : laggy)

None of the old drivers fix the bug...
