radeonxeditionhd7870 /q6600 compatible mortherboard needed

hi i just bought a vtx xediton hd 7870 and cant get it to run on my system. i have a brand new cx600 psu, 3gb ddr2 mem, q6600 and need to know what motherboards i can get that will let me run it with that chip plz ...

The q6600 was introduced in 2007. The high performance chipset models such as P45 have been discontinued. There still are a few companies that make the Intel 31 and 41 chipset models but some use DDR3 memory. You can find some of the discontinued ones in the used marketplace.
