Question Raid super capacitor overheating

Hi all, i have recently setup a raid server and everything was fine until i attached a afm 700 backup battery, now it says the temperature of super capacitor is 204 degrees which is obviously wrong because it is cold to the touch.

What could be causing this?
Is it a dodgy battery?

Bad sensor? If you attach to another device, does the behavior move as well?

Do you mean move the raid card to another pc?

Not really feasible. I mistakenly thought you were referring to an UPS. Not the actual device you attached.

If you remove the attachment, does the temp indicator return to normal?

I have been on holiday for a week and upon return everything is now normal, did it just need time?

No idea, just keep an eye on it for a bit to ensure it stays "normal".
