Question Ram 16gb or 8 gb

Basically i have a thinkpad E480 in which i play games like fortnite and apex . The spec are i5 8 gen quad core amd rx 550 and 8 gb ram i get like 100 fps on fortnite low setting but 3d resolation is full i am thinking to upgrade to 16 gb 2x8 . For better fps will it increase the fps or not ?

The recommended system requirements for both Fornite and Apex Legends is 8gb, so moving up to 16gb wont help much on those games. In other games that can use more RAM, then it will help some.
