RAM bootup problems

I'm Having RAM Trouble,
I have 2, 4GB BALLISTIX RAM sticks which work fine on their own but when they're both in together my pc boots for around 2-3 seconds then just powers down, it'll keep doing this until i turn off the PSU, I'm running 64 bit windows so I'm not capped on RAM,

if anyone could help with this problem I'd be extremely grateful

Start with a single stick, go to the BIOS and raise the DRAM voltage + 0.06, save shutdown then add stick 2 and try....If no joy let us know the mobo, CPU and model #(s) of the DRAM
