Question RAM Compatibility and BIOS Updates ?

I've been building a new PC for the last few months and I've hit a snag.
Originally I bought all the parts over 6 months ago and started putting it all together and got to a point where I knew i would probably need some help with the wiring but I ended up putting it to the side and haven't touched it since. Basically has a AIO cooler with a bunch of fans and wires and my case was very compact so i had trouble fitting everything in and it wasn't something i had any idea about and its been over 10 years since i built my first pc.

Today I got all my stuff back out and had another go at it and I think I'm almost there.
Went to turn it on and the light on the motherboard is stuck on DRAM. So I switched slots and all that, one at a time, sometimes the motherboard light goes back and forth between CPU and DRAM and restarts, sometimes its just on the DRAM light.

I've been watching a lot of videos all saying the same sort of thing so I eventually end up on my motherboard page looking at compatibility.

Basically I have a B660 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 motherboard and I have Vengence RGB RS 32GB 3600mhz RAM with a product code of CMG32GX4M2D3600C18.
But the only ram I can find on the compatibility page from my motherboard that is similar is CMK64GX4M2D3600C18.

Is there a BIOS update I can get to make my RAM compatible, or do i need different RAM?

Update:

Actually I think i stumbled upon the answer, the RAM I bought isn't compatible with 600 series motherboards. I should have bought this instead right?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I have Vengence RGB RS 32GB 3600mhz RAM with a product code of CMG32GX4M2D3600C18.

under compatibility section;
Intel 600 Series

The motherboard should be compatible with the ram you've picked out, regardless of a BIOS update. If you're intent on flashing the BIOS to the latest version, source BIOS files from here;

Same board maker but different platform however the principle remains the same.

Rams are populating slots A2 and B2?

On a side note, please pass on the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

This is the ram I have currently, it doesn't include 600 series on the specs list of that site?
And yea I had them originally in A2 and B2 as specified on the motherboard but I have them out completely now.

My specs
CPU: I5-14600k
CPU cooler: Mag CORELIQUID C360
Motherboard: B660 Aorus Elite Ax ddr4
Ram: Vengeance RGB RS 32GB 3600mhz
SSD/HDD: Gigabyte Aorus Gen5 12000 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe
GPU: Geforce RTX 3070
PSU: TUF gaming 750W bronze
Chassis: TUF gaming GT301
OS: nothing installed, have no display yet
Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G5 34"

edit: I think I might be getting somewhere, I put all my parts into pcpartpicker and it came up with a possible problem between my cpu and motherboard.

Warning: The Gigabyte B660-AORUS-ELITE-AX-DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard supports the Intel Core i5-14600K 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor with BIOS version F27. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, updating the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU.

UPDATE

So I went ahead with the bios update, followed your video so thank you for that.
Got the latest version, removed CPU, GPU and RAM, installed the new version. Reinstalled CPU, GPU and RAM
And we made it past the CPU and RAM error lights, and then it was stuck on the VGA light.
Watched a few more videos, moved the RAM around, and then decided to remove CMOS battery because I saw a video
earlier about someone doing that to fix unrecognized RAM.
Restarted the pc and now we have BOOT. So I think I'm in the clear now, just waiting for the USB Windows 11 to show up so I can start using this thing.

ADVICE FOR ANYONE BUILDING A NEW PC
Buy a case with plenty of room! with my AIO CPU cooler and PSU cables taking up so much space I can't fit my hard drive bay back in, but sacrifices must be made!
