Hey guys!

So.. I have the AB350 Gaming 3 (Gigabyte). Recently I found a fix for the issue I had (no worth mentioning the issue) and it was something with the RAM compatibility. I have the Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 3000MHz with C15 latency. I could play games without crashing only with 1 stick, but not both (stock speeds). I tested the both of them individually in each slot and It had 0 errors (memtest86). I checked the QVL of the motherboard and it didn't show up the "Code" of the RAM sticks I had (CMK8GX4M2B3000C15R). My question is.. should I change the RAM, or the motherboard?

Thanks in advance.

The first generation Ryzen CPUs have some RAM compatibility issues. First try updating the bios to the latest versions. New versions of the bios typically include better memory compatibility.

If that does not work, considering RAM prices, it would be more economical to get a new mobo. But I would wait and get a b450 motherboard. Your CPU will work fine in that board and the 400 series motherboards really improve the memory compatibility. This should eliminate the issue of going with another b350 board and having the same issue.

That memory has an SPD of 2133MHz, which is what they will run at if left on [Auto].

AMD B350 Chipset motherboards might not run any higher than DDR4 2667MHz depending on the various CPUs.

No mention is made of exactly what memory frequency you tried using, whether 2133MHz up to 3000MHz.

Considering the speeds, I tried both 2133MHz and XMP and I am currently running with the stock (2133MHz).

Considering voltages.. I can't change it. I put 1.3V in the DRAM option (Gigabyte AM4 Bios) but when I open the program (hardwaremonitor) it says ~1.2V.
