R Random_tech Honorable Aug 24, 2015 502 1 11,165 Oct 5, 2015 #4 yes it will work, i have done that woth ddr2 sticks. i had 4x1GB sticks and then relpace 2 of them with 2x2GB sticks, therefore it was/is 6GB.
