RAM compatibility question

Hi all!

I was recently given an old computer and I am trying to improve the RAM of it.

Motherboard: Asus P5GC-MX
Current RAM (1 stick): Rendition rm12864aa5667.16fd
1GB DDR2 PC2-5300 NONECC DIMM

The new RAM I have and want to install 2 sticks of is: Kingston KVR800D2N6/2G

I would love your help in understanding if this is possible. I tried to install them and the monitor would not be recognised, and the computer did not beep as it usually does with the current RAM.

What's your processor? Maybe the processor or the bios of motherboard can't recognize your new ram due to higher speed(old 667mhz vs new 800mhz).

Intel pentium E2160 1.80GHz

That's my old processor haha.
But i can use 800mhz ram. Maybe you can try to use just one ram and if still not work try to put that ram to another slot. And if still not work, use the another ram and do again the step above.
