Hi All,
Warm Greetings !!

I have purchased an i7 4770K processor and in the Intel web site under processor specks it shows
MEMORY TYPE as "Memory Type DDR3-1333/1600"

But my MOBO specks has "DDR3 3000(OC)/2800(OC)/2600(OC)/2200(OC)/2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600"

The question is I purchased "CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model "

Which has specks 1866 and my processor does not have this recommend specks.
I am in the assumption that If I purchase a 1333 or 1600 specified RAM as described in the i7 Processor specks
then it will be more compatible or performance gain with PROCESSOR and MOBO

Please suggest your opinions and concept behind this RAM 🙁

Your ram should be fine.
All ram has a default slower speed which will let you get into the bios and later adjust it upwards.
The motherboard specs are saying that faster ram speed are supported if you oc the ram.

Go to the corsair ram site and access their configurator. Enter your motherboard and you will get a list of supported ram kits.
I expect your kit to be on that list.

Hi ..
Thank you for the quick reply.
The only confusion is why Intel specks only mentioned 1333 or 1600 ?

The RAM will run at 1600 MHz out of the box. Once you enable the XMP profile in the motherboard BIOS it will run at the advertised 1866 MHz. It will just overclock the integrated memory controller a bit when you enable the XMP profile. The (OC) after the RAM speeds from 1866 MHz - 3000 MHz in the motherboard specs just means that the memory controller is technically overclocked to reach those speeds.

Those sticks will be fine, Intel recommends 1.5 for 1600 sticks which is the native freq for the MC (memory controller). Nice thing about Haswell is it likes and scales well to faster DRAM, for 1866 and below I recommend sticking to 1.5 sticks while for 2133 and above 1.6 to 1.65 is perfectly fine

Guess I may as well ask while the experts are here...I bought an fx 8320, asus m5a99fx pro rev 2.0 and Team Vulcan 2x4GB ddr3 2133 1.65v. Is all that going to run fine together? What difference/issues does the fx8320 with those dimms, if any?
