[SOLVED] RAM for ASUS PRIME A320M-K

I need advice to help me to decide what RAM to buy. I'm looking for 32 GB (2 modules) 3200 Mhz RAM for ASUS PRIME A320M-K (Ryzen 7 1700).

I have already checked QVL and found out that it is outdated, so I can't choose chips from QVL list ( https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...E/Memory_QVL_For_Ryzen_1st_Gen_Processors.pdf )

Also did issues of 1st gen Ryzen CPU's with non B-die RAM chips have been solved at this point (i've read that it was solved through BIOS updates) or is it still a concern? My current RAM is CMK8GX4M2B3000C15, it's made by Hynix and I've recently tried to change speed from 2133 MHz to 3000 MHz using DOCP and it was successful, haven't run into any issues.

Up to 3000MHz any DDR4 should be fine. Beside issues with fast RAM with 1st gen Ryzen there's also an issue with memory topography on 300 series chipsets.

Hmm, so I guess there is no reason to buy 3200 MHz RAM then (because running at 3200 MHz might cause problems)?

Here you have the RAM proposed by the GSkill configurator for your motherboard. As you see they are rather conservative, with 2666 MHz as the highest speed for 2x16 Gb modules.

Thank you! I have overlooked that you can check compatibility in company pages. I wonder is there a reason they don't propose higher then 2666 MHz?

1st gen Ryzen, "natural" IMC frequency is 2666MHz and above that is considered oveclocking.

Yes, I understand that it's overclocking, but is there any reason not to overclock on this motherboard? Because, as I mentioned, I'm running my current ram at 3000 MHz and there haven't been any issues.

A320 MBs are notoriously bad for OC but in case of memory you OC only it and IMC in the processor. Considering you are using 1700x instead of APU, you wouldn't notice any difference with 3200MHz RAM.
