Hello guys,

I have build a new pc, please see the specs below:

Ryzen 7 2700x
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Dual channel Kit 2x8GB 3200Mhz
Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Gaming X470

After updating the bios to the latest version I am encountering the following problem:
From time to time after powering off or restarting my computer my RAM changes from 3200Mhz to 2133Mhz.
However if I check the profile the XMP profile is set on the MOBO.
Is this a Windows bug or do the RAM's are compatible with the CPU?
If I change the RAM frequency I don't encounter any issues, I can feel the difference ( I am gaming).
I don't understand why this is happening and why is the frequency changing.

Thank you!

Update:

This happens when I completely turn of my PC.
Should I try to downgrade my BIOS?
I am currently using the F31 version

Thank you!
Update:

I have performed the following steps and it seems that the issue is not encountered anymore, at least not after a couple of restarts and shut downs:

  1. I have set the XMP to disabled.
  2. Saved the settings.
  3. Opened Windows.
  4. Restarted.
  5. Shut Down.
  6. Restarted Again.
  7. Set the XMP to Enabled.
  8. Saved the settings.
  9. Opened Windows normally.
  10. Tested the settings with some restarts and shut downs
I will leave the thread open for 1 more day to see if I will keep encountering the issue. I will keep you updated.

Thank you!
