Hello
I was wondering. Ii used to have 16 Gb of Ram on my PC, but after i built a new one ( mostly because my new Gpu was getting overheated in my old case), one of the two Ram's was damaged so now i do only have 8Gb. Can this difference have any impact on the performace while playing a game (Maybe a small one)?
Oh, and is there any kind of bottleneck in my system(I think it does not but asking is free!!)
Thanks in advance
Pablo

System Specs

Gygabyte G1 gaming GTX !070
i7-4770 3.4Ghz
8GB of Ram (Used to be 16GB)
Psu Enermax MaxPro 600W 80 Plus

Solution
So two things that might hinder performance.

1 if your system uses more then 8GB of ram you might have performance loss

2 you went form dual channel mode to single channel mode so you will loose sight performance there.

In real world will you notice, most likely not. The biggest thing is if you multi task while gaming you might run into the 8gb wall and loose performance from that.

With only one DIMM, you have half the memory bandwidth and that may cost you a few FPS. If you run low on memory, swapping may cause additional stuttering as things get either reloaded from storage more often and Windows swaps things in/out of memory. Load times may also get worse due to the OS not having as much spare memory to cache files.

I'd go with 2x16GB to avoid worrying about any of those.
