Hi all! I'm trying to upgrade the ram in my moms computer and I have a quick question. Her motherboard is the AMD 785g (Has 4 ram slots - 2 black side by side and 2 blue side by side) and I'm finding conflicting reports online as to how much ram it can support (some sites say 16 some say 32, one even said only 8) , and also which slots to install them into. I currently have two sticks of 8GB ram and I always thought you were supposed to install them in matching colours, but I also see it says to install them in slots 1 & 3, or 2 & 4, but those would be opposite colours. Which should I be doing? Thank you!

I apologize on the motherboard image - that's actually just a stock photo I grabbed to show the way the slots looked. This is actually hers, but it's harder to see. I'm not positive at all on the motherboard numbers, but most of the spec sheets I've found on the computer (HP Pavilion p6620f) simply say: Motherboard chipset AMD 785G / Motherboard form factor micro ATX . However, when we ran a scan with Belarc on her computer it showed:
