Question ram is showing only 3.42 Gb instead 6 gb

i have instelled two ram one is 2 gb and another is 4 gb after instelling windows 10, 32 bit operating system it shows only 3.42 gb usable
before that i used window 8.1 , 64 bit operating then ram was ok now why this problem is coming

Windows 32 bit versions can only use up to 4GB of memory and sometimes a little less because the system uses some. If your system was running 64 bit before , that's what you should have installed.

sorry i am confused. were you saying you solved the ram limit problem first by upgrading to a 64-bit operating system?

either way it sounds like the problem is you are mixing and matching ram sticks

when i am window 8.1 32bit operating system i installed the 4 gb ram that time it was working showing 6 gb before 1 year ago now i had installed windows 10 32 bit it shows 3.42gb only
