RAM issue please help

Hi,

Need help i installed a 8gb ram ddr4 on my board and im running at windows 10 64bit. But when i check the actual ram of my computer it show 4gb only. I run it in msinfo32.exe to view my actual specifications.

Please help

Check bios, if bios says 8GB, then you should confirm that your windows is 64bit

It shows 4096 in bios i guess that 4gb.

Try all your sticks individually to confirm they're good.
I'm not sure yet where to go from there ..

Thats what i'm thinking, if not possible is the socket have issues but let me try. What i did i place all the ram in one color on the board i have black and red alternate. So i place all in red.

Either place both in red or both in black.

yar, maybe that's the best thing to do for now. trial and error 🙂 because i'm planning to go for 32gb ram.

What's the model # of the DRAM?

that's g.skill v ddr4. but anyways i already figure out what's the problem, but before that what i did is i test all the slot's with my sticks individually for some reason all you have to do just update your bios and it will run like no sweat. it's working now. 🙂

i heard a lot of issues with 100 series lately about this.
