So I got my new PC in July, and my Corsair ram is working on 2133MHz. I turned on d.o.c.p., saved the settings and rebooted my PC. everything was normal until my desktop was supposed to show up. there was just a black screen. Going into the BIOS and turning off d.o.c.p. made everything normal.

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X470-F
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700, Stock Cooler
Graphics Card: Asus ROG Strix Radeon RX590 8Gb
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8Gb, advertised as 3200MHz
Storage: Toshiba 1TB HDD
PSU: Corsair Vengeance 650M, 650 Watt Semi modular

Solution
It's not dangerous as long as you read and follow the directions on the ASUS website to the letter. Double check that you have the correct BIOS file for your board before flashing and you shouldn't have any issues.
update the BIOS of your motherboard, within BIOS using EZflash and an USB flash drive with the unzipped BIOS file on it.
Ryzen is a diva when it comes to memory speeds.

Usually 2933MHz is the most compatible speed

you might send back the RAM you have and chose one of these tested kits:

Isn't updating the BIOS kinda dangerous? I haven't done it ever, and I'm sure there must be some tutorials, but still, I've heard people say that if you flash the BIOS wrong, your motherboard will become unusable.

Typically only happens if you lose power during the update, so it's only risky if you live somewhere with really unreliable power and don't have a UPS. Otherwise, just don't update in the middle of a thunderstorm or whatnot and you should be OK. And follow the directions provided, as said above.
